Shrimp Cocktail

So easy to make and so tasty!!! I get unpeeled shrimp ( I'm really picky about my shrimp, i deveine and i clean the "other side too")  but you can buy the peeled frozen or fresh (your choice). With the frozen shrimp i usually wash my sink and put the sink stopper on it and let the shrimp sit in cold water for about 5 minutes to thaw.

1 lb of 26-30 shrimp or larger peeled and deveined with the tail left on
2 quarts of boiling water
1 tablespoon of old bay seasoning

Cocktail Sauce
1 cup of ketchup
1 teaspoon of tabasco (optional)
1-2 tablespoons of horseradish( i like it chunky so i use 2)
1/2 squeezed lemon
salt and pepper to taste

Prepare a large bowl with ice cubes and water and place it next to your boiling water pot.
Place shrimp in small batches in boiling water seasoned with old bay. When shrimp tails rise to the surface of the boiling water, remove them and place them in ice water (this will stop the cooking). Refrigerate and serve it cold with cocktail sauce and fresh lemon slices.
For the sauce mix all ingredients and serve with shrimp.
