Made this slaw to serve with the Sesame Seared Tuna Steaks and it was the perfect side.
1/4 cabbage, shredded
2 apples of your choice, peeled, cored and shredded or cut into thin strips( i left 1/2 with skin for color)
1 cup sprouts(i used clover sprouts)
1-2 tablespoons prepared horse radish (I use 2 since i like it spicy)
1 lemon, zested and juiced
3-4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
salt and pepper to taste
Stir together maple syrup, lemon juice, zest and vinegar.
Mix cabbage, apple, sprouts and horse radish in a bowl. Pour dressing over and toss it well.
Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
